Director and actor Max Minghella returns to the big screen, starring in Spiral, a terrifying new chapter in the Saw franchise. Minghella stars along with Chris Rocks and Samuel L. Jackson, as a rookie police detective investigating the grisly murders that are eerily reminiscent of the city’s gruesome past.

Minghella, who recently made his feature directorial debut with the pop-fueled musical drama Teen Spirit is also currently stars in the Hulu series “The Handmaid’s Tale.”

Sprial, the ninth installment of the Saw franchise, opens in theaters nationwide on May 15. Watch the first trailer below.
