We are excited to congratulate filmmaker Ramin Bahrani on his Writers Guild Awards nomination for his documentary SECOND CHANCE. The feature-length doc, which Bahrani also directed, chronicles the life of Richard Davis, the man who invented the concealable bulletproof vest – shooting himself 196 times in the course of his career to prove the effectiveness of his vests.
The film, which world premiered at the 2022 Sundance Festival, will be available to stream on Showtime in the spring, after a select theater winter run.
This is Bahrani’s second WGA nomination, he was previously nominated in 2021 for his adapted screenplay of his drama THE WHITE TIGER, which also earned him Oscar and BAFTA nods.
